This five-day, 40-hour live course is designed to equip health care providers with a base of knowledge in Hyperbaric Medicine and advanced wound care management. Approved by the UHMS and NBDHMT as an Introduction to Hyperbaric Medicine, this course is taught by our nationally recognized physicians who actively work in wound care and hyperbaric medicine every day.
Who is the course designed for? Physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, clinical nurse specialists, registered respiratory therapists, physical therapists, physician assistants, EMT’s and paramedics involved in advanced wound care management.
The Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Care is designed to introduce health care providers to the theory and practice of hyperbaric medicine. The Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Care provided by Wound Care University is UHMS and NBDHMT approved for 40 CME hours. The course includes 40 hours of face-to-face hyperbaric medicine specific instruction, formal assessment upon completion, elements of practical chamber-side instruction, and is documented by a certificate of completion.
The Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Care is designed for healthcare providers currently working or wanting to work in hyperbaric medicine and advanced wound care. Approved by UHMS for live-streaming format through 2021 for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, clinical nurse specialists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, EMTs, and paramedics.
