Why Clients Loves WCU

Emilie Starner LPN

“All of the speakers did an excellent job presenting the course information and they were very knowledgeable about the information that they presented.”

Eduardo Sandoval, MD

“I truly value and use the knowledge I obtained from the Introductory Course in Hyperbaric Medicine. I have been able to better treat my patients knowing when and how to safely use Hyperbaric Oxygen.”

Samantha Willoughby

“Excellent information, helpful literature review with study involvement to ensure we understand the real time implications and helpfulness of HBOT in medicine.”

Gaudy Franz Collado, MD

“Overall the course was excellent, especially the instructors/lecturers were superb, well-knowledgeable about what they are teaching. I really enjoyed and learned a lot from this course from clinical and basic sciences to administrative topics surrounding the hyperbaric medicine.”

Shevaun Little RRT

“The intro to HBOT (hyperbaric oxygen therapy) was a comprehensive course that involved experts in the field. As a Respiratory Therapist, the theory was a review, but the application and indications were fascinating. It was inspiring to understand where this type of therapy could go and the demographics of people it could help. The Wound Care University not only had experts in the field deliver the content, but they were prompt with any questions or concerns I had.”

Melissa McNamara, MD

“I’m a traditionally trained medical doctor who took WCU’s introductory course in hyperbarics. I was very impressed with both the breadth and depth of the course and topics covered. With taking this course, I was able to learn everything from the mechanics of manipulating an HBOT chamber (real-time), to the in’s and outs of patient care during a session, a full understanding of safety and fire marshall law including safety recommendations made UHMS, back to the physiology and physics of why hyperbaric oxygen works, the indications that are approved and those that are under current study, and even a very through piece on running the chamber as a team effort, safety always at the top of all priorities, and the imparting of a vast knowledge of billing/reimbursement/documentation requirements – taught by a biller that has been in the industry for decades.

All in all, I can’t recommend the course, more. It was delivered on a level for all-comers: EMTs, practitioners, respiratory therapists, current HBOT active members team needing a refresher – all benefit from the cornucopia and scope of knowledge presented at this course. Worth every penny and every minute of my time. Also appreciated the adequate breaks and the fact that I found the group of speakers to be fun, and at times, quite funny and entertaining.”

Mohan Sadana, MD, F.A.C.S

“I completed the wound care certification prep course from Wound Care University in New Braunfels in March of 2023. It was the best wound healing course I have taken in my 40+ career as a plastic surgeon. All instructors were extremely knowledgeable and also made the course fun to attend. I also plan to take the course on hyperbaric medicine in 2 weeks.”
